Ollie Pope: "We weren't good enough in the final stages"

Surrey's acting T20 captain Ollie Pope paid tribute to Jason Roy's efforts to get the team over the line following an agonising seven-run Vitality Blast quarter-final defeat to Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
But Pope also said his team "were not good enough" in the closing stages of a match Surrey would have won had they managed to score 63 runs from the last eight overs with all ten wickets in hand.
Pope said: “It’s a tough one to take after a tournament in which we played a lot of good cricket. To not make it to Finals Day again is really disappointing and the changing room is pretty gutted.
