Bryony Smith’s Surrey Women are through to the Vitality T20 County Cup finals day after beating Warwickshire Bears by 10 runs.

Surrey’s bowlers held their collective nerve to defend a 20-over total of 200 for six in a high-scoring quarter-final at the Edgbaston Community Sports Ground.

The Bears, who ended 190 for six, were in position to chase down Surrey’s score when they reached 102 for two after 11 overs.

But then Bethan Miles bowled the dangerous Davina Perrin for 42 and, after that, only Bears captain Katie George threatened to thwart Surrey as she finished on 54 not out from 35 balls.
