Tributes from Surrey colleagues and supporters have followed the news that leg-spinning all-rounder Cameron Steel has been forced to retire from professional cricket due to injury at the age of 30.

The Rey's Mark Church, who has commentated for BBC Radio London on every game Steel has played for Surrey since 2021, after four seasons at Durham from 2017, added his own personal tribute.
