In this column I’d like to focus on two young cricketers who I believe will play leading roles in Surrey’s future – one who has been part of the framework of the club for a while and one who has yet to step into The Oval’s home dressing room.
I’m excited about the signing of Henry Crocombe from Sussex, for 2027, and meanwhile I’m very pleased to see Ralphie Albert being appointed as captain of England’s Young Lions for their two-match Youth Test series against South Africa in the coming fortnight.
