Last-over thriller sees Surrey Women through to One Day Cup eliminator

Surrey will face Hampshire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup eliminator at the Utilita Bowl on Wednesday after beating Somerset by one wicket in what was a winner-takes-all affair.
A superb match at the Kia Oval ended with last pair of Kate Coppack and Dani Gregory scrambling a leg bye from the third ball of the final over to take Surrey to 296 for nine in reply to Somerset's 50-over total of 295 for seven.
It meant Surrey finished third in the One Day Cup group stage table behind second-placed Hampshire, who they must now beat for the right to take on The Blaze in next Saturday's final.
In a see-saw battle against Somerset it was half-centuries from Sune Luus (54) and Kira Chathli (51), the latter sharing a stand of 95 for the sixth wicket with Phoebe Franklin, that kept the hosts in the chase, although Alex Griffiths’ 5 for 54 looked to have been decisive until the late drama.
