Dan Lawrence "playing a different game to the rest of us" says Dom Sibley

Lawrence was unbeaten on 105 at the end of day one of Surrey's final Championship fixture of the summer, against Somerset at Taunton, while Dom Sibley's 72 and Ben Foakes' 64 not out also contributed significantly to a scoreboard total of 327 for four.

It was a dominant batting display which also all but snuffs out Somerset's faint hopes of a first Championship title in their history, with Sibley paying tribute at close of play both to the quality of the surface and to Lawrence's strokeplay.
